Brandon and Kirsten Dickerson joined the O Refúgio team as Hospitality and Sustainability Directors alongside a wonderful Portuguese family, Marta Pinto and her teens. Together, they are helping to restore the property, curate retreats, and envision a sustainable, affordable destination for all. O Refúgio invites people to connect with God through creation, contemplation, creativity, and community. Many ARTIST & NOMAD retreats are held at O Refúgio, but the retreat center is also available for a private retreat or your own group retreat. We welcome many people on sabbatical as well as people in need of rest, quiet, and restoration. We also welcome groups to book their own retreats that reflect the mission of O Refúgio.

In addition, O Refúgio welcomes short term volunteers to help with maintenance, gardening and land care, as well as overall hospitality of guests. We also host longer term volunteers for our 2-3 month internships in the Spring (March-May), Summer (June-Aug), and fall (Sept-Nov).
